Some Form 4473's Invalid due to Printing Error
A printer's error has invalidated some recently issued ATF Form 4473 Firearms Transaction Record Part I -Over-The Counter forms, which are used for the retail sale of a firearm by a licensed dealer.
On some of these misprinted forms, the form number, date of release (month/year), and the language "previous editions are obsolete", were inadvertently left off by the printer. ATF advises that though its Distribution Center may have issued such misprinted forms to licensees, the documents cannot be used.
